DEEP is a collection of virtual compressor, limiter, and graphic EQ emulations with a dual-stage valve preamp tossed in for good measure. With DYN8 you get 8 bands of frequency-specific dynamic processing as a 4 band dynamic EQ and a 4 band multiband compressor. In general, the dynamic EQ is most useful for individual tracks while the multi-band compressor works best on a stereo mix or groups of tracks. Either way, the power of the processing lies in the fact that it's already built into the Avantis.
