This allows the unit to be powered by a car battery, cigarette lighter, camera pack battery, etc. In the event of an AC power failure or battery exhaustion, the unit will automatically switch to alternate power by selecting the strongest Voltage available. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eAdditional active mic\/line outputs can be added with an optional 16 channel \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.whirlwindusa.com\/products\/headphone-distribution-active-presss2xp\"\u003ePRESS2XP\u003c\/a\u003e expander modules, giving you 32 total active outputs.
